Our culture and advocacy for peaceful co-existence, better lives, political equality and economic emancipation is not limited to Ghanaians but extends to all people of color and other people who share our vision.

NCOGA 2011 Picnic Goes Cultural
New York ---On Saturday, August 6, 2011, the National Council of Ghanaian Associations (NCOGA) delighted the Ghanaian as well as the larger New York community with a cultural extravaganza at the beautiful Roy Wilkins Park in Jamaica, Queens. NCOGA Presents 2011 Annual Picnic/Durbar and Concert
On Saturday, August 6 2011, NCOGA will be hosting its annual summer picnic at the beautiful Roy Wilkins Park in Jamaica, Queens. This year's event is a two part picnic cum durbar replete with a procession of Chiefs, a cultural display from all the regions of the country and a super concert featuring two of the top Ghanaian artistes.

NCOGA donates $5000 to the Northern Relief Fund
The National Council of Ghanaian Associations (NCOGA) presented a check of $5,000 to the Northern Development Fund (NDF) to aid victims in Northern Ghana who were affected by last year's flood. Nana Anane Amponsah, a representative of NCOGA and Asantefuohene of New York presented the check at a ceremony in Accra on May 13, 2008 and noted that the donation was part of NCOGA's contribution to help improve lives of the victims of the flood.
Receiving the donation on behalf of NDF, Dr. Hakeem Wemah, president of NDF noted that the fund was established by Ghanaians in the North to serve as a mouth piece of the people of the North.
